Josh graduated with his PhD in Latin American History from Yale in May 2021. His dissertation focused on racial thought and health politics in Mexico in the second half of the twentieth century and received the Arthur and Mary Wright Prize from Yale’s Department of History. He was a Graduate Writing Consultant at the Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning between 2015 and 2021 and has participated in several Yale working groups. During his dissertation research, he also held an internship at Amnesty International in Mexico City and was a visiting student at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Josh speaks Spanish and French and received his undergraduate degree from McGill University and his MA from York University.
